JAWA-YEZDI Bikes Rally on City Roads - Mysore Club, IndiaMy name is Ainsley Wilson, and my brother Gavin Wilson was the Organizer for the JAWA-YEZDI Day rally in Mysore. Our dad Mr. Gladstone Wilson was the former Head of the Maintenance Dept at Ideal Jawa, Mysore.The rally was flagged off by Mr. Raian F Irani, son of the Late Mr. F.K. Irani, the founder of the Ideal Jawa Motorcycle Company at Mysore atop at Chamundi Hill on 8th July morning. There were 21 bikes - 7 JAWA 353s, 2 350s, a Monarch, a 250 Deluxe, a 60cc Jet and the rest Roadkings. We own a 1967 Jawa,a CZ 250-353,a 250 Deluxe,a Roadking and a 1987 Yezdi/Jawa 350 Twin. Bikes of the models 1958, 1965, 1967, 1969 and some 70's model JAWAs took part. Mysoreans were treated to a parade of vintage Jawa and Yezdi motor bikes on the city roads, as part of the International JAWA-CZ-YEZDI Day when more than 20 riders on these old bikes held a rally. The other participants were Ryan, Nishanth, Niswin, Vijendra, Deepak, Praveen Jain, Abid Ali, Kumar, Divakar Manju, Suresh, Ajay, Champak, Shamsher, Hameed, Azim, Rajesh, Mahaveer, Shibin, Sunil, Afzal, Neil, Clyde, Lokesh and others. The fleet of bikes, rallied on Mahatma Gandhi Road, Court Road and V.V. Mohalla, and the rally culminated at Bal Bhavan in Bannimantap.
